The Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of South Africa, in partnership with the Qatar Fund for Development, launched the “Iftar Basket for Fasting People project” on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan 1446 at the headquarters of Jamiatul Ulama South Africa in Johannesburg.

H.E Mubarak Ben Nasser Al Khalifa, the ambassador of the State of Qatar to South Africa, participated on the launch of the project and briefed Jamiatul Ulama members on the pursuit by the State of Qatar, of such humanitarian initiatives, especially in this holy month.

The event was well received by the community in Johannesburg, and broader civil society, especially Islamic society in the country.
